You are welcome to bring your own containers! These will be weighed on site and the empty weight deducted before payment. Alternatively, baskets can be purchased at the field.
Minimum purchase quantity: At least 500 grams of strawberries must be purchased per person aged 8 and over who picks strawberries. If fewer are picked, 500 grams per person must still be paid
for. Why? Everyone who picks their own strawberries also eats them. That's completely ok - but for us, the plantation is only worthwhile if something is bought at the same time 😉
Please don't run or climb across the rows in the strawberry field - this damages the fruit and it's far too good for that!
In our field you have the choice:
There is an area where everyone is allowed to pick wherever and however they want (especially good for families with children and for anyone who wants to pick smaller quantities).
There is also another area which our colleagues will be happy to show you. This is particularly suitable if you want to pick larger quantities (more than 2 kilograms). Why? Here we mark
in rows where you have not yet picked and where you have already picked. But this also means that there are a few instructions to make the principle work. And these are as follows:
A stick marks where you can start picking. The marker means: no one has picked before you, you can start here
Stay in your row and ONLY pick in your row. Not to the right or left in the neighboring rows.
Harvest the row cleanly. Please also take smaller and slightly deformed fruit with you.
We don't want any leftover strawberries to go moldy and go to waste.
When you have finished, pick up the marking stick where you started picking.Place the stick in the row where you left off. This way, the next person can see where you haven't
picked yet and where they can start.
